THE juju furore, triggered by events in which Richard Chihoro appeared to sprinkle some stuff on the goal area at Barbourfields on Saturday, has landed the long-serving Dynamos team manager in REAL trouble.

He has been barred from ALL the club’s activities – from the training sessions to sitting in the club’s technical area – while the Premier Soccer League’s disciplinary committee deals with his case.

With the disciplinary hearing set for April 5, it means Chihoro will be barred from all the club’s activities for, at least, THREE WEEKS.

He could face further sanctions, in the event that he is found guilty of bringing the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League into disrepute, which could see him being barred from the club’s activities for months.

Chihoro, whose nickname is Nyoka, has been summoned to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee to answer charges of misconduct at Barbourfields during the league match between Dynamos FC and Hwange FC.

The Glamour Boys won the match 1-0.

It is alleged that Chihoro sprinkled some water, and other stuff, at the goalposts of their opponents as his club battled to find a way to break the deadlock.

Dynamos goalkeeper, Taimon Mvula, who played for the coalminers before his move to the Glamour Boys, also lost his gloves after a section of Hwange fans invaded the pitch.

Reports indicate that one hooligan was arrested and the pair of gloves was recovered.

The PSL want to whip Chihoro into line.

“Chihoro will not be allowed anywhere near the team bus, changing rooms or to sit in the technical area during PSL matches until the matter has been finalised,” the league said.

“He is being charged for breaching Order 31 of the PSL Rules and Regulations which makes it an act of misconduct on the part of a player, official, servants or duly authorised (express or implied) representatives of a club who:

* Commits any act or makes any statement, either orally or in writing or has been responsible for conduct which is considered ungentlemanly, insulting or improper behaviour, or likely to bring the game, sponsors, any member, the League, ZIFA, CAF or FIFA into disrepute.

* Behaves in a manner which brings the League or any of its sponsors into disrepute or endangers the welfare of the League.”

There was no immediate response from Chihoro or Dynamos.

He has a colourful past in which he has been accused of being the DeMbare juju man.

“In August 2014, at Barbourfields, I just picked up ordinary sand from the ground and sprinkled it at the point at which Highlanders players were supposed to use to enter the pitch,” he once said.

“All hell broke loose!

“I was insulted verbally and Highlanders players scaled the fence into the stadium – in their own backyard. They were scared and we won 1-0 on our way to a fourth straight league title.”
