Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks are leading the tables for their conferences which is expected at this point of the season. There’s a long way to go until the season, considering that the games are played every single day. The NBA ends this season in April when we will watch the playoffs.
Golden State Warriors are looking strong every season, and by winning 4 tiles in 8 seasons, we don’t know what to expect this year when there are so many amazing teams. You can see everything this season, from teams filled with old players trying to get that ring to young and ambitious teams trying to do things to get to the top. Even the NBA expert picks become more challenging to manage when so many unexpected things happen.
The only thing that is for sure is that Nikola Jokic yet again won the MVP, which seems unexpected for many people, but he’s breaking triple-double records for his role. His team will definitely be one of the favorites, but it will be very hard, like the last season.
Denver Nuggets
As mentioned before, Nikola Jokic is still a part of the Denver Nuggets and probably the main reason why he won’t join some of the biggest names today is his loyalty to the team. This is also what his teammates love about him, and they support his amazing games. But they also have a few experienced players like Caldwell-Pope and Aaron Gordon.
They are always slowly gaining a reputation throughout the season, and they are just behind Memphis, who is leading the league. The only thing that matters, in the end, is reaching the play-off again and trying to beat the competition.
Boston Celtics
Boston Celtics were favorites from the start, even if they didn’t do so great in the pre-season. They almost won the title last season, so they probably want it, even more, this year. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are the best players on the team and were on the All-Star team.
They are doing great at the beginning of the season, being placed second in their conference, but they still have issues with injuries. Almost half of their team had an injury in the past, which might trouble them in a few months when they need to play more important games. Everything will depend on the two best players, but there are other teams that can easily counter them.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Greek Freak is yet again the leader of Milwaukee, scoring over 40 points in a few games, most recently against New Orleans. The biggest advantage they have over other teams is that their team doesn’t have any injury problems.
This is probably the main reason why they are at the top of the table. Giannis is the best player currently in the league by many professionals, and he might be the person the leads them to the finals.
There’s a long way to go, but it seems like there’s no one who can stop them unless they start making mistakes like what we saw the last season. They should focus on supporting his plays and letting him do whatever he wants in order to win. Even with a big ego, they should push him more because it seems like he has more to offer.
Phoenix Suns
The team that can surprise us is Phoenix Suns, even if they are not among the favorites, according to bookies. With players like Chris Paul and Devin Booker on the team, you can expect everything from them. They actually had a chance to win the title 2 years ago, but Milwaukee managed to beat them.
The reason why they are a surprise is that they had a bad few years and then managed to get over 60 wins in one season. With so many experienced players leading a few young ones, they definitely have the brains and skills to go against the top teams.
