In a shocking turn of events, a brutal murder has shaken the Shurugwi community, as police investigate the gruesome killing of Tyson Matarise (36).
According to ZRP, Matarise was fatally stabbed on the head and back with Columbia knives by a group of nine suspects, for unknown reasons, on June 15th, 2024, at the Dhija Mining area.
Police shared the details of the horrific incident on their X handle. “Police in Shurugwi are investigating a case of murder in which Tyson Matarise (36) died after being stabbed on the head and back with Columbia knives by nine suspects for unknown reasons on 15/06/24 at Dhija Mining area.
“One of the suspects is only identified as Mdhimbani alias Mandebele. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station,” reads the statement.
