In a tragic turn of events, a woman has been brutally murdered in Lupane, Zimbabwe, allegedly at the hands of her own husband. The incident occurred on June 4th, 2024, in a bushy area near Sishshawe Village, along the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road.
According to the police, the suspect, 35-year-old Tryfoward Mpofu, has been arrested in connection with the crime. Mpofu is accused of assaulting his wife, Revai Rusive (36), with switches and booted feet, ultimately leading to her death. The savage attack is said to have been triggered by Mpofu’s accusations of infidelity against his spouse.
After the alleged assault, Mpofu is reported to have buried Rusive’s body in a shallow grave, attempting to conceal the heinous act. The police’s swift response and investigation have now led to the suspect’s apprehension, and he will face the full weight of the law for the alleged murder.
