In a heart-breaking turn of events, the managing director of Marcedale group, owners of Heads and Hooves butcheries, has taken his own life in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Christopher Androliakos, a 58-year-old resident of Famona suburb, was found hanging in his home on Wednesday.
According to the police, the circumstances surrounding Androliakos’ death are as follows: On the day of the incident, the deceased returned home and parked his vehicle. The housemaid then left for the day, unaware of the impending tragedy.
The following morning, the maid arrived at around 6 am and found the main doors of the house locked. After knocking on the bedroom window with no response, she entered through the kitchen window, which was left open for the family cat. As she made her way down the corridor, she discovered Androliakos’ lifeless body hanging from the ceiling, having used a nylon rope to take his own life.
The police were immediately notified, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing. While the specific reasons behind Androliakos’ actions remain undisclosed, this tragic incident has left the Bulawayo community in a state of shock and sorrow.
As the managing director of the respected Marcedale group, Androliakos was a prominent figure in the city’s business community. His untimely passing has undoubtedly left a significant void, both personally and professionally, for those who knew and worked with him.
