In a tragic turn of events, a devastating multi-vehicle collision has claimed the lives of four people along the Harare-Mutare Road near Mutangadura. The accident occurred this afternoon at the 32-kilometer peg of the major highway.
According to reports from the Zimbabwean Republic Police (ZRP), the accident involved a Tenda bus, a haulage truck, and a Phils and Pats bus. The Tenda bus, which was traveling towards Mutare, collided with the other two vehicles, resulting in the immediate deaths of four individuals.
The bodies of the victims have been transported to the Marondera Provincial Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations, while the injured passengers have been referred to Marondera Provincial Hospital and Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for medical treatment.
The total number of passengers in the two buses is yet to be confirmed, and the authorities have promised to release more details as the investigation progresses.
