Brutal assault leads to tragic death in Ndali Village
In a shocking turn of events, a young man has died after a brutal attack in Ndali Village. Vengai Tshovele, aged 22, succumbed to his injuries on May 31st, 2024, while receiving treatment at a hospital in Harare.
According to police reports, Tshovele was assaulted on May 13th by three suspects – Godfrey Khurivhale (39), Absoleck Ndali, and Answer Musaingira. The suspects allegedly beat Tshovele with logs, leaving him with severe injuries all over his body.
The suspects claimed that Tshovele had stolen two cellphones from the community, prompting the violent retaliation. However, the police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Tragically, Tshovele’s injuries proved to be fatal, and he passed away at the hospital nearly three weeks after the assault. The community has been left shaken by the loss of a young life and the brutality of the attack.
Authorities are now appealing to the public for any information that could aid in the investigation and the arrest of the three suspects. Residents are urged to report any relevant details to their nearest police station.
