Brutal murder shocks Gwelutshena community as young man found dead near cattle market
In a disturbing turn of events, the Gwelutshena community has been rocked by the tragic murder of 27-year-old Mongameli Mpofu. Mpofu’s lifeless body was discovered on May 30th, 2024, near the Sebhumane Cattle Sale Market, with a grim stab wound to the neck.
The gruesome discovery has prompted a urgent police investigation, as authorities appeal to the public for any information that could assist in uncovering the circumstances surrounding Mpofu’s untimely demise.
Police shared the details of the incident on their X handle. “Police in Gwelutshena are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of murder in which Mongameli Mpofu (27) was found dead with a stab wound on the neck near Sebhumane Cattle Sale Market Place on 30/05/24.
“Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station,” reads the statement.
