In a shocking incident that unfolded at a garage in Southlea Park, Harare on 26/05/24, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of Joseph Masamba (34) in connection with a case of murder. The altercation tragically resulted in the death of Tatenda Nigel Bvukumbwe (32).
In a sudden and unexpected turn of events, a dispute arose between the suspect, Joseph Masamba, and the victim, Tatenda Nigel Bvukumbwe, over the payment of repairs for Bvukumbwe’s motor vehicle. The disagreement quickly escalated, leading to a physical altercation during which Masamba allegedly assaulted Bvukumbwe with his open hands.
The confrontation took a fatal turn, resulting in the untimely demise of Tatenda Nigel Bvukumbwe. The incident sent shockwaves through the community, leaving family, friends, and onlookers in grief and disbelief.
Police shared the details of the incident in a statement on their X handle. “The ZRP confirms the arrest of Joseph Masamba (34) in connection with a case of murder which occurred at a garage in Southlea Park, Harare on 26/05/24 in which Tatenda Nigel Bvukumbwe(32) died.
“The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim with open hands after a misunderstanding over payment of repair for the victim’s motor vehicle,” reads the statement.
