Tragic hit-and-run claims life of Mbare woman
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a 52-year-old female pedestrian has lost her life in a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred in the early hours of May 25th, 2024.
The incident took place along Seke Road near Telecel Zimbabwe, leaving the community in a state of shock and despair.
According to the police report, the victim was crossing the road at around 4:30 AM when she was struck by an unknown motorist driving an unidentified vehicle. The driver, shockingly, failed to stop and provide assistance, leaving the woman severely injured on the scene.
The victim was rushed to Sally Mugabe Hospital, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries upon arrival.
Police are now actively investigating the case, appealing to the public for any information that could aid in identifying the vehicle and the driver involved. They have urged anyone with relevant details to come forward and report them to the nearest police station.
