SANGOMA Meme “Gogo Ngwenyama” Mamabolo said she is single and available, only for amadlozi.

She said she’s unavailable to men of this world as they will make her lose focus.

The 39-year-old sangoma from Letlhabile in North West said she’s married to amadlozi and doesn’t want men at the moment because they will disturb her relationship.

“Men want to have a love relationship with me. I always tell them to wait. I’m tired of men who come lying with big empty promises,” Gogo Ngwenyama said.

She said in 2022, she had a relationship with a man who abused her emotionally, and their relationship only lasted for five months.

Meme, who graduated as a sangoma in December 2023, said things didn’t go well for her until she answered the calling.

“I’m proud to be a sangoma, and the relationship we have is marvellous,” she said.

The mother of one daughter said she’s planning to build an indumba to help those who are sick. She said her journey as a sangoma was not easy as it demands respect and humanity.

Gogo Ngwenyama, who is currently Miss Curvylicious SA Finalist 2024, said she grew up loving fashion and always wanted to be a model.

She said her qualities fitted in, especially body structure, beauty, brains and her participation in community activities.

“I’m confident, happy and love exploring. I’m talkative and friendly,” said Meme.

She said her secret weapon is putting God and ancestors first. Her message to young people is that they must prioritise education and focus on themselves. She also loves playing netball in the community and does aerobics to keep fit.

She’s also involved in educational projects and uplifting the community. Meme is spending much of her time running her MEMEM Catering and Projects, which deals with decor, food, flowers, beautician, and cleaning services.

Meme is working as an engineering assistant at Dikwena Chrome Mining under Lera Holdings in Madibeng. Meme also works as an administrator at Bontle Ba Rona Funeral Services. She said she is a soul, R&B, Afro-pop and gospel DJ. She’s also a chef.

Her mum, Olga Mamabolo (62) said: “I’m supporting her journey as a sangoma. My daughter is a bubbly individual. She loves business.”

She said she wishes her prosperity. Daily Sun.
