Fatal road accident claims three lives on Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road
In a tragic incident, three people lost their lives, and ten others were injured in a road traffic accident that occurred on the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road on May 21st, 2024, around 10:00 PM.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police, an ERF truck with three passengers on board crossed into the oncoming traffic lane, resulting in a head-on collision with a Stallion Cruise Bus carrying 40 passengers.
The three victims are yet to be identified, and their bodies have been taken to the Hwange Colliery Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations. Some of the injured individuals were admitted to Hwange Colliery Hospital and St Lukes Hospital for treatment.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police has reiterated the importance of drivers avoiding night-time travel, as most road accidents occur during this period due to visibility and observation challenges. Additionally, they have urged all drivers to exercise caution and adhere to all road rules and regulations to ensure the safety of human lives.
