Tragic collision claims six lives on Donnybrook Road
A horrific road accident on Donnybrook Road, Chizhanje are in Mabvuku has left six people dead and twelve others injured, according to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP).
The accident occurred on May 21st, around 5:00 PM, when a Howo truck with one passenger veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a Toyota Hiace kombi carrying 13 passengers. The truck then had a head-on collision with another Toyota Hiace kombi with five passengers.
The ZRP has identified four of the victims:
- Edinah Ndogwedu, a female adult from Riverside, Ruwa
- Felix Javha, a male adult from Hatfield, Harare
- Tarisai Chigwande, a female adult from Odzi, Zimre Park, Harare
- Liberty Chitide, a male adult from Tafara, Harare.
The identities of the other two victims are still pending next-of-kin notification.
