Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) Announces Release of April and May Exam Results
The eagerly awaited results of the April and May national examinations conducted by the Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) are now available for collection at HEXCO centers starting from tomorrow, according to an announcement made by the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science, and Technology Development.
In a statement released yesterday, Professor Fanuel Tagwira, the Permanent Secretary of Higher and Tertiary Education, expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the national examination system and the teaching and learning processes. He also provided an overview of the outcomes, revealing that this session saw a pass rate of 62.7 percent, slightly lower than the 68 percent achieved in last year’s end-of-year examinations.
“We wish to thank the lecturers, students, parents or guardians, examinations staff and all stakeholders involved in the national examination system as well as the teaching and learning process,” stated Prof. Tagwira.
Prof. Tagwira further advised all HEXCO centers to collect the exam results from their respective regions starting from Wednesday. This timely distribution will enable students, educators, and families to access the outcomes promptly and proceed with the necessary next steps in their academic journeys.
The release of the HEXCO examination results marks a significant milestone for students who have invested their efforts and dedication into their studies. The outcomes will provide them with a valuable assessment of their knowledge and skills, forming a crucial foundation for their future endeavours in higher education and the job market.
By conducting these examinations, HEXCO evaluates the proficiency of students in various subject areas and provides them with recognized qualifications that align with industry requirements.
As the results become available, students, along with their families and educators, will have the opportunity to reflect on their achievements and identify areas for further improvement. These outcomes serve as a testament to the hard work and commitment demonstrated by the students throughout their studies.
The Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science, and Technology Development remains committed to promoting excellence in education and cultivating a skilled workforce capable of driving the nation’s progress to achieve the Vision 2030 under the able leadership of His Excellency President ED Mnangagwa. The HEXCO examination results are a testament to the collective efforts of the education community and underscore the significance of continuous learning and development.
As students eagerly collect their results, it is crucial for them to approach the outcomes with a growth mindset, embracing both successes and areas for improvement. The education system, together with supportive families and mentors, will continue to provide guidance and resources to facilitate students’ educational journeys.
Congratulations to all the students who successfully completed the April and May national examinations. May these results serve as a stepping stone towards a bright and prosperous future, filled with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
