In a harrowing incident that has shaken the community, the Bulawayo Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into a severe hit-and-run that occurred on 9th May 2024 along Percy Iborston Road, opposite the TM turn off in Cowdray Park.
An unidentified motorist, driving an unregistered white Nissan Hard Body vehicle, struck an innocent school pupil (8) who was crossing the road. In a shocking display of callousness, the driver chose to flee the scene without stopping to provide aid or reporting the accident to the police.
The young victim suffered a fractured left knee as a result of the collision and was promptly rushed to Mpilo Hospital for urgent medical attention.
In light of this distressing hit-and-run incident, authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the event or possesses any information regarding the driver involved to come forward and report it immediately at the nearest police station. The cooperation of the community is vital in assisting the ongoing investigation and ensuring that justice is served.
