Domestic worker sentenced to community service for bestiality in Bulawayo
A 40-year-old man employed as a domestic worker at Bilas Farm in Bulawayo has been sentenced to perform 350 hours of community service after being found guilty of engaging in bestiality. In addition, he received a wholly suspended sentence of 10 months in prison.
The court heard that on March 26, Kimton Sibanda was caught in the act of having ƨǝxual intercourse with a donkey inside his employer’s cattle kraal. Two witnesses witnessed the disturbing act and promptly reported the incident to the police, leading to Sibanda’s subsequent arrest.
During the trial, Sibanda pleaded guilty to the charges of bestiality, admitting to the reprehensible act.
In light of the evidence and his admission of guilt, the court handed down a sentence of 350 hours of community service to Sibanda.
Cases of bestiality are highly disturbing and illegal, as they involve the violation and abuse of animals. The court’s decision aims to send a strong message that such acts will not be tolerated within society.
