Unidentified body found in decomposed state, suspect wanted in sadza plate murder case
In a disturbing series of events, the body of an unidentified man was discovered in an advanced state of decomposition in a maize field located in Kuwadzana, Harare. Simultaneously, a tragic incident occurred in Warren Park, where a man lost his life after being accused of stealing a plate of sadza (a staple food in Zimbabwe).
Authorities swiftly responded to the situation in Kuwadzana, with the body being transported to Sally Mugabe Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination. The police suspect foul play and are treating the case as a potential murder. As investigations continue, members of the public who have any information or may be missing a relative are urged to contact the Kuwadzana Police Station.
In a separate incident in Warren Park, the police are appealing for assistance in locating Brighton Nyamukapira, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Edward Goto (38). Allegedly, the suspect confronted the victim, accusing him of stealing sadza. Tragically, a sharp object was used to stab Goto once in the neck on April 12, resulting in his untimely death.
Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the National Police Spokesperson, confirmed both incidents and emphasized the ongoing investigations.
“The ZRP is investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a yet-to-be-identified man who was found in an advanced state of decomposition in a maize field in Kuwadzana 5 Paddocks, Harare, on April 12.
“The body of the victim was taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. Members of the public missing their relative or anyone with information should contact Kuwadzana Police Station,” he said.
