In a courageous act, residents of Epworth took swift action on Saturday and apprehended five suspected kidnappers after discovering two children hidden in the trunk of their car. The suspects had parked their vehicle near a marketplace, and the cries of the children from the trunk caught the attention of nearby people.
According to HMetro, the group of suspects consisted of three men and two women. As the suspects attempted to flee, three of the men were pursued and eventually captured by the vigilant residents.

“The men tried to escape but were caught after a chase by the mob.”
During the confrontation, a woman recognized one of the female suspects, linking her to a previous kidnapping incident involving children.
The suspects were swiftly taken into custody and transported to Domboramwari Police Station for further investigation. The incident occurred in Epworth’s Stopover area along Delport Road.
The two abducted children were reportedly taken while they were on their way from Rueben Shops. As concerned residents confronted the kidnappers, the police arrived at the scene and took charge of the case.
