14-year-old girl assaulted at party: Four teenage boys remanded on bail
In a distressing incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a 14-year-old girl was subjected to a horrifying assault by four teenagers she met at a party last week. The accused individuals appeared before Harare magistrate Donald Ndirowei on Wednesday, where they were granted bail of US$30 each.
According to State prosecutor Anesu Chirenje, the incident occurred on February 24, 2024, around 10:00 a.m., when the complainant and her friend left their homes to attend a birthday party in Glen View 7, a suburb of Harare. Little did they know that this innocent gathering would take a dark turn.
As the party unfolded, the victim consumed a Ballyhouse drink given to her by a friend, after which she began to feel dizzy and disoriented. Seizing this opportunity, one of the accused individuals lured her into a spare room, where he forcibly fondled her breasts. The situation quickly escalated when he called his friends and took turns ƨǝxuɑlly assaulting her without her consent.
