A self-proclaimed prophet is currently evading authorities after being accused of sodomizing two 12-year-old boys at his shrine in Hatfield. The accused, Madzibaba Jalel Munondinzwei (22), belonging to the Johanne Masowe yeMuchinjikwa sect, allegedly committed the heinous acts at his shrine located on Chiremba Road.
Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, the Harare provincial police spokesperson, has appealed for public assistance in apprehending Madzibaba Munondinzwei. According to Insp Chakanza, the incident occurred on December 23, 2023, when Madzibaba reportedly took the two boys to his shrine.
During their stay at the shrine, Madzibaba watched a pornographic video with the minors. In the early hours of the morning, around 3 am, he allegedly sodomized one of the boys and subsequently ƨǝxually assaulted the other inside a tent. Both victims immediately reported the incidents to Madzibaba’s assistant and their mother, who then proceeded to file a police report.
Following the incident, Madzibaba Munondinzwei relocated to Marondera, where he was observed performing prayers. However, a vigilant resident tipped off the police, resulting in his arrest. Unfortunately, Madzibaba managed to escape when the arresting officers briefly left their vehicle unattended while relieving themselves.
