Police in Zimbabwe are investigating two suspected murder cases that occurred recently. In Damofalls Phase 5, Ruwa, the body of 34-year-old Shadreck Maresa was discovered in a fowl run at a private residence.
Initial investigations suggest Maresa may have been attacked by a mob after allegedly being caught trying to steal car batteries in the nearby Gazebo area. National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said police are still looking into the full circumstances surrounding Maresa’s death.
In a separate incident, an unidentified man’s body was found near a mining site in Bindura. According to police, the deceased had stab wounds on his chest and was wearing blue jeans, an orange T-shirt, black shorts, a grey cap, pink shoes, and a wristwatch. The discovery was made in an area known as the Cottco Panning Site.
Police are treating this case as suspected murder and are appealing to the public for any information about the unknown victim. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest police station. Both incidents remain under active investigation.
