Jealousy leads to horrific domestic violence incident in Bulawayo
A disturbing incident unfolded in Bulawayo, as jealousy took a dark turn and led to a violent attack on a woman by her husband. Evidence Ndlovu, a 37-year-old man from North End, has been accused of assaulting his wife, Anita Nkiwane, in a fit of rage sparked by allegations of infidelity. Ndlovu appeared before Magistrate Maxwell Ndlovu at the Tredgold Building in Bulawayo, where he pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic violence.
The incident occurred on the evening of December 20. A heated argument between Ndlovu and Anita quickly escalated, resulting in a distressing series of events. Witnesses reported that Ndlovu, consumed by jealousy, demanded that Anita undress before forcefully pinning her down and subjecting her to a relentless assault.
Shocking reports reveal that Ndlovu’s brutal attack did not end there. He repeatedly struck Anita with his fists, causing severe injuries all over her body. To further endanger her life, he resorted to strangling her during the assault. The scene of the incident was undoubtedly horrifying, highlighting the destructive power of jealousy when left unchecked.
Following his arrest, Ndlovu was remanded in custody until January 26.
