A Harare woman named Margaret Manyenyeni found herself embroiled in a court battle after her relationship with a married man, Nhamo Nkomo, took a dark turn. It all began when Nkomo’s wife discovered the affair, leading to their separation and a series of unfortunate events.
Manyenyeni revealed in court that ending the relationship with Nkomo only brought her more troubles, as he vehemently resisted the breakup. Disturbingly, she accused Nkomo of leaking her intimate photos on social media, fearing the impact it could have on her two teenage children.
In response, Nkomo shifted blame onto Manyenyeni, claiming she had brought the trouble upon herself. He accused her of insulting his wife by phone and even alleged that she had hired thugs to assault him. Seeking justice, Manyenyeni pleaded for protection from Nkomo’s abuse.
Magistrate Chibindi ruled in favour of Manyenyeni and ordered Nkomo to stop abusing his ex-girlfriend and maintain peace between the two.
