In a deeply unsettling incident, a 37-year-old maid in Bindura was confronted with a horrifying sight when she stumbled upon a lifeless body in one of the rooms she was about to clean on Saturday.
The maid, identified as Cynthia Tambudzai, made the distressing discovery of Dexter Emmanuel Mushoriwa’s body hanging from the roof trusses, suggesting that he had taken his own life.
The grim incident unfolded as Tambudzai entered the room with the intention of performing her cleaning duties, only to be confronted by the tragic scene.
Inspector Milton Mundembe, the police spokesperson for Mashonaland Central province, confirmed the incident and assured the public that investigations were ongoing.
“Investigations are still underway as we are not aware of the cause of Mushoriwa’s death,” he said.
