Shocking murder of Rio Tinto Zhombe High School teacher leaves community in disbelief
The Zhombe community was left in a state of shock after the alleged killing and desecration of a teacher from Rio Tinto Zhombe High School. The victim, identified only as Mr Mwale, was found nɑked and defaced at Joel Business Centre, in what is suspected to be a ritualistic murder.
Although the police did not provide immediate details regarding the incident, Chief Weight Gwesela of Zhombe confirmed the tragic event. Mr Mwale had previously taught at Rujeko High School before transferring to Rio Tinto Zhombe High School. His body was discovered on Friday morning, bearing horrifying mutilation, with his face skinned and eyes and ears missing.
Chief Gwesela expressed deep concern over the unprecedented nature of the crime, stating that such an act had never been witnessed in the community before. The traditional leader strongly suspects that this heinous act was carried out for ritual purposes.
