Man convicted of aggravated indecent assault for inappropriate act on two-year-old niece
A startling case unfolded in Marimbi Village, Seke, as a 27-year-old man was found guilty of aggravated indecent assault after he was caught red-handed inserting his tongue into his two-year-old niece’s privɑtes.
The accused appeared before a Chitungwiza magistrate, where he pleaded guilty to the charge and was subsequently sentenced to 18 years in prison, with three years suspended on the condition of good behaviour.
The court established that the complainant’s father caught the accused red-handed, engaging in the disturbing act with the young child. It was revealed that the accused is the brother of the complainant’s father and had been visiting his brother’s residence on the day of the incident.
