Fatal Accident on Harare-Chirundu Highway: One dead, several injured as ZUPCO bus overturns
Tragedy struck on Tuesday when a ZUPCO bus was involved in an accident at the 143km-peg along the Harare-Chirundu Highway. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the incident, stating that the bus, carrying 21 passengers, veered off the road and overturned, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving ten others injured.
According to the ZRP’s official communication on its X handle, the injured individuals were promptly transported to Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment and working towards recovery.
