A 24-year-old man from Chitungwiza experienced the unfortunate loss of his car after it was stolen while parked outside his girlfriend’s residence. Takudzwa Glevan Chibora, residing in Unit D, Seke, left his blue BMW 318i unattended with the keys still in the ignition while he visited his girlfriend, Netsai Chakoma, whose home is situated near a church in Zengeza 3. The incident occurred around 10 pm.
Upon returning to the parking spot, Chibora discovered that his car, along with an iPhone 12 PRO, had been stolen. Although the police successfully recovered the vehicle the following day, the phone remains missing. Assistant Inspector Faith Mapisa, the Acting Harare provincial police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and provided details.
“Police recovered the vehicle the following day after it was left dumped along Tilco Road in Chitungwiza.
“The iPhone 12 PRO cellphone was not recovered and the vehicle was taken to ZRP St Mary’s,” said Ass-Insp Mapisa.
The circumstances surrounding Chibora’s decision to leave the car keys in the ignition remain a perplexing mystery.
