A 30-year-old man has been arrested after robbing a secondary school student of her cellphone in a bushy area at 9th Street and Duncan Road in Makokoba. The incident took place on Monday around 4 PM and the suspect, Tavonga Mbawura, is now set to appear in court to face charges.

“Members of the public are warned on using bushy and secluded pathways as these are notorious grounds for criminals. We also would like to applaud members of the public for their continued support in the fight against crime,” said Insp Ncube.
