In a dramatic incident in Harare, the police have made arrests related to the unlawful possession of crystal methamphetamine. Norah Makwavarara (40), also known as Mai Toga, was apprehended on January 13 at 13 Marsham Flat along Baines Avenue. She was found in possession of 0.053 kilograms of crystal meth, with an estimated street value of ZW$5,300,000.
Similarly, on the same day, Dexter Muteredhe (34) was arrested at Alban Court for the unlawful possession of 48 grams of crystal meth. The arrests were made by detectives from the CID Drugs and Narcotics division in Harare, acting on received intelligence.
Makwavarara appeared in court and has been remanded in custody until today, pending a bail application. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
