In a tragic turn of events, a Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) officer, identified as Chabvuta Ngonidzashe, was discovered lifeless near a house in Phase 1, Eastview, Harare on January 12, 2024. The police, who arrived at the scene, found that Ngonidzashe had suffered a deep cut at the back of his head, leading them to launch a thorough investigation into the case as a potential murder.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has released a statement appealing to the public for any information that could aid in the identification and subsequent apprehension of the suspects involved in this heinous crime. The authorities are urging individuals with relevant details to come forward and report to the nearest police station.
“ZRP is investigating circumstances surrounding a case of murder in which a ZPCS officer, Chabvuta Ngonidzashe was found lying dead with a cut at the back of his head near a house in Phase 1, Eastview, Harare on 12/01/24. Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station,” reads the statement.
