In a recent incident at Mbare Musika, Buhera Rank, a bus driver reportedly fled the scene after allegedly running over a woman who was sleeping on the pavement.
According to a statement released by the police, the incident occurred on January 7, 2024. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, suffered a fractured leg as a result of being run over by a reversing Changu Bus.
The statement from the police read, “Police in Harare are investigating a hit-and-run road traffic accident that occurred on 07/01/24 at Mbare Musika, Buhera Rank pavement where a Changu Bus, which was reversing, ran over a woman (29) who was sleeping on the pavement. The bus driver drove away from the scene. The victim sustained a fractured leg.”
