Housebreaker arrested after 3 years on the run
After evading capture for three years, a notorious housebreaker has finally been apprehended, announced the police. The suspect, identified as Regobert Joseph, aged 23, was involved in a crime that took place in Mabvuku, Harare, in January 2021.
According to an official statement released by the police, Regobert Joseph was taken into custody by the Harare police. He had been a fugitive from justice and was wanted for the charges of unlawful entry and theft related to the incident that occurred in Mabvuku.
“Police in Harare arrested Regobert Joseph (23), who was being sought by the police for a case of unlawful entry and theft committed in January 2021 in Mabvuku,” reads the statement.
Regobert Joseph is now in police custody and will be brought before the court to face the charges brought against him. The arrest serves as a reminder that the law enforcement agencies are committed to ensuring the safety and security of the community by bringing offenders to justice, no matter how long it takes.
