Police investigate murder case as woman found dead with multiple injuries in Bulawayo
In a disturbing event, the police in Bulawayo have launched an investigation into a murder case after the lifeless body of an unidentified woman was discovered in a bushy area at Denver Farm in Cowdray Park. The incident has raised concerns as several other murder cases have been reported across the country in recent times.
The woman, whose identity remains unknown, was found with swollen lips, cuts on her head and knees, indicating a brutal attack. The police have reached out to the public for any information that could aid in their investigation.
Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the national police spokesperson, made an appeal, saying, “Police in Bulawayo are appealing for information which may assist in investigating murder case in which a yet to be identified woman was found dead with swollen lips, cuts on the head and knees in a bushy area at Denver Farm in Cowdray Park.
“The victim was wearing a red and white coloured dress, charcoal–grey hood jacket. Anyone with information that might assist with investigations should contact any nearest police station.”
Meanwhile, Shurugwi was left in shock and mourning as a 17-year-old teenager, Tawanda Muzvihwi, lost his life in a tragic stabbing incident on New Year’s Day. The Midlands provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the devastating incident, providing details of the unfortunate events.
Muzvihwi had gone to Cheeky Tiger night club, located at Donga business centre in Shurugwi with his 17-year-old friend. However, his friend left the club, leaving him behind. At approximately 11 pm, a passerby discovered Muzvihwi’s lifeless body near Cheeky Tiger night club and immediately alerted the police stationed at Tongogara. Responding swiftly, the police arrived at the scene where they observed a stab wound on the left side of Muzvihwi’s chest. The body was then transported to Shurugwi District Hospital for further examination.
The senseless act of violence has left the community of Shurugwi in a state of disbelief and grief. Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, striving to identify the unknown assailants responsible for this tragic loss of life.
