Fatal stabbing rocks Shurugwi: 17-year-old teenager killed at nightclub
Shurugwi was left in shock and mourning as a 17-year-old teenager, Tawanda Muzvihwi, lost his life in a tragic stabbing incident on New Year’s Day. The Midlands provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the devastating incident, providing details of the unfortunate events.
Muzvihwi had gone to Cheeky Tiger night club, located at Donga business centre in Shurugwi with his 17-year-old friend. However, his friend left the club, leaving him behind. At approximately 11 pm, a passerby discovered Muzvihwi’s lifeless body near Cheeky Tiger night club and immediately alerted the police stationed at Tongogara. Responding swiftly, the police arrived at the scene where they observed a stab wound on the left side of Muzvihwi’s chest. The body was then transported to Shurugwi District Hospital for further examination.
The senseless act of violence has left the community of Shurugwi in a state of disbelief and grief. Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the incident, striving to identify the unknown assailants responsible for this tragic loss of life.
