Fatal altercation in Guruve: Man killed in dispute over garden boots
In a tragic incident that unfolded in Guruve, a 33-year-old man lost his life after a heated argument escalated into violence over an unpaid debt for a pair of gumboots. The police have since apprehended a 28-year-old suspect, Bayisa Scotch, in connection with the murder.
According to Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the incident occurred on January 1, 2024, at Marirambada Farm. The victim, identified as Isaac Kusikwenyu, tragically succumbed to his injuries on January 2 after being struck on the head with a log. The altercation stemmed from Scotch’s refusal to settle the payment for the gumboots, which he had purchased from the victim’s mother.
Guruve police swiftly took action, arresting Bayisa Scotch in connection with the murder case.
