Tragic incident unfolds: Glen View kombi driver fatally attacks wife in front of their children

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a Glen View kombi driver shocked neighbours as he brutally assaulted his wife, resulting in her tragic death.

The horrific incident took place in their home, where the couple’s two young children helplessly witnessed the violence unfold.

The driver, identified as Tawanda Musingi, allegedly engaged in a heated argument with his wife, Rujeko Masanga, regarding love messages exchanged between him and another woman. The dispute escalated, and Tawanda viciously attacked Rujeko with an unknown object, leading to her untimely demise.

To compound the shock, Tawanda proceeded to hang Rujeko’s lifeless body in their bedroom, leaving a haunting scene for all to witness. The couple’s minor children, aged 1 and 5, cried out in distress, alerting their neighbours to the horrifying situation.

One of the tenants encountered Tawanda leaving the room unclothed, claiming that Rujeko had taken her own life by hanging. However, this claim was met with suspicion, and Tawanda was swiftly apprehended.

Residents of the area shared that Tawanda and Rujeko had been facing ongoing issues stemming from Tawanda’s involvement with multiple partners. Rujeko, who supported her family through piece jobs, reportedly suffered the consequences of her husband’s infidelity.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the arrest and urged couples to seek assistance from the police or community elders when facing disputes of this nature.

“Police arrested a Glen View man in connection with a murder case,” said Insp Chakanza.

“The accused person was reported to have had a misunderstanding with his wife.”
