In a deeply distressing incident, a woman from Lupane has been arrested after brutally assaulting her 3-month-old daughter to death with a cooking stick.
The tragic event unfolded when Alice Ncube (31), allegedly struck her infant daughter multiple times on the head with a cooking stick, all because the baby was crying while Ncube was having lula lula with her husband.
According to a statement released by the police, the arrest of Alice Ncube took place on Monday at approximately 4 am in Village 3A. The authorities responded swiftly to the harrowing incident, and Ncube was taken into custody.
The statement from the Lupane police provides details of the devastating case: “Police in Lupane have arrested Alice Ncube (31) in connection with a case of infanticide in which she hit her three months old daughter with a cooking stick several times on the head after the infant had started crying whilst the suspect and her husband were sleeping at Village 3A, Deli, Insuza on 20/11/23 at around 0400 hours.”
