Dozens injured as bus overturns on Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Highway
In a recent incident on the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway, a long-distance bus belonging to CAG Bus Services veered off the road, flipped over, and landed on its side, leaving 40 people injured.
The accident occurred last Friday at the 34-kilometer mark. The injured individuals were swiftly transported to Mpilo Central Hospital for medical attention.
A statement from the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) described the incident as follows: “The ZRP confirms a road traffic accident in which 40 people were injured when a CAG bus with 60 passengers on board veered off the road and overturned before landing on its right side at the 34 kilometre peg along Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road on 03/11/23 at around 1000 hours.”
