A shocking incident unfolded in Mount Pleasant on October 27, as a group of nine armed robbers targeted three security guards, overpowering them and making off with a substantial sum of money.
The police provided details of the incident, stating that the assailants, armed with pistols, machetes, bolt cutters, and a grinder, launched a brazen attack. They swiftly tied up the guards using shoelaces before proceeding to break into the accounts office, where they successfully accessed a safe containing approximately US$30,000.
In addition to this significant theft, the audacious robbers also targeted another office, from which they managed to steal an additional US$1,900. The police have issued a statement urging anyone with pertinent information to come forward and report it to the nearest police station.
“Nine unidentified male suspects who were armed with pistols, machetes, bolt cutters and a grinder attacked three security guards who were on duty and tied them with shoelace before breaking into the accounts office where they stole US30000 from the safe.”
