In a recent development, Justice Loice Matanda-Moyo has been appointed as the new Prosecutor-General, marking her departure from her previous role as the chair of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission. This appointment comes into effect immediately, following the resignation of Mr. Kumbirai Hodzi from the position last year due to health reasons.
The announcement was made by Dr. Martin Rushwaya, the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet. He stated, “His Excellency, the President, has in terms of Section 259(3) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe appointed Justice Loice Matanda-Moyo as the Prosecutor-General with immediate effect.”
Her vast experience and expertise will contribute to the ongoing efforts to combat corruption and ensure the fair administration of justice.
