A disturbing incident took place at a high school in the Mzilikazi suburb of Bulawayo, where a Form Two pupil allegedly launched a violent attack on another student.
The altercation escalated to the point where the assailant, a 15-year-old boy, reportedly struck the victim with a brick on the head before stabbing him in the chest with a pair of scissors. The motive behind the attack stemmed from an argument over a broom, according to information shared on the Police’s X (formerly Twitter) page.
The Bulawayo Police have initiated an investigation into the case, classifying it as attempted murder. The incident occurred at a high school in Mzilikazi. The 15-year-old suspect allegedly confronted a 16-year-old Form Two student, accusing him of taking a broom without permission. The confrontation quickly turned violent, with the assailant resorting to the use of a brick and scissors to inflict harm on the victim.
In a social media post, the Police shared details of the incident, stating, “Police in Bulawayo are investigating a case of attempted murder, which occurred at a high school in Mzilikazi.
“A Form Two student (15) hit another Form Two student (16) with a brick on the head before stabbing him with a pair of scissors on the chest after an argument. The suspect had accused the victim of taking a broom without permission,” posted the Police.
