Woman Seeks Peace After Husband’s Long-Term Affair
Kudakwashe Sihle has applied for a peace order against her estranged husband’s longtime mistress. According to court documents, Ms. Sihle believes Tendai Rusenza has been in a relationship with her spouse for fifteen years and has played a role in the breakdown of their marriage.
Ms. Sihle states she is regularly taunted via calls and texts by Ms. Rusenza boasting about her involvement with the husband. She said “I want Tendai to give me time to finalise our divorce so that she can have my husband to herself.”
Ms. Rusenza denied the accusations of harassment, maintaining she is not romantically involved with the man. The husband’s sister, Sandra, was also named and claimed to be insulted at her home by Ms. Sihle.
Presiding Magistrate Sharon Mashavira found sufficient cause to grant Ms. Sihle’s requested peace order. The order mandates that the sisters cease any further vandalism or disturbances at Ms. Sihle’s residence. The magistrate’s ruling aims to restore tranquility as Ms. Sihle seeks a formal end to her marriage.
