The body of a 14-year-old boy was discovered over the weekend in Binga, Zimbabwe after he had gone missing from school grounds two days prior. Alumbweleza Munkombwe was last seen on Thursday afternoon making his way home from Mabobolo Secondary School at around 3:30pm but never arrived.
On Saturday, his lifeless body was located in a bushy area near the school. Alumbweleza had a deep cut on the back of his head, according to police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi. After conducting an investigation into the teen’s disappearance and tragic death, authorities have arrested 27-year-old Remember Dube on suspicion of involvement in the case.
Nyathi confirmed the incident, noting that police are actively investigating the murder.
