Police in Zimbabwe have arrested a 61-year-old man for allegedly beating his wife to death in a village in Hurungwe district.
Kasina Kawocha has been charged with murdering his 46-year-old wife, Spigina Ndinga, according to a ZRP statement issued on 1 September.
According to police, the assault occurred at the couple’s home in Chivero Village on 1 September. Kawocha allegedly struck Ndinga twice in the head with a large wooden log. She sustained serious head injuries and was rushed by relatives to Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital. Ndinga succumbed to her wounds while undergoing treatment.
