Police in Harare have foiled a ƨǝx party involving students from Corridors of Hope College and neighbouring schools, arresting 19 students and the caretaker of the house where the party was being held. The raid took place in the city’s Dzivarasekwa high-density suburb and resulted in the confiscation of alcohol, wines, c0nd0ms, shisha and its flavour.
According to a statement from the police, the raid was conducted after they received a tip-off about the planned ƨǝx party. Such parties are common among Zimbabwean youths, especially during school holidays.
The incident highlights the prevalence of risky behaviour among young people in the country, with Vuzu parties in Bulawayo being particularly notorious for attracting wealthy youths who engage in unprotected ƨǝx and excessive drinking.
The police have not yet released further details about the raid, but the arrests serve as a reminder of the dangers associated with such events.
