TOY GUN THIEF BUNGLES ROBBERY ATTEMPT
A bumbling crook armed with nothing but a toy gun was quickly nabbed by cops after a botched restaurant robbery in eMalahleni.
The unidentified idiot walked into the eatery Tuesday afternoon and pretended to be an everyday customer. Witnesses say he casually browsed the menu before whipping out his weapon – a cheap plastic toy.
The moron placed the toy gun on the counter and demanded cash from the shocked cashier. But the quick-thinking staffer silently hit a panic button to alert security while a call was also made from a nearby shop.
Security officers rushed over and the fool tried to flee empty-handed but they quickly grabbed the hapless crook. When cops arrived they discovered the “gun” was a cheap toy model.
The muppet was charged with attempted robbery and is due in court today. Local police chief Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela praised the “partnership” between cops and security that led to the capture of this absolute muppet.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and swift action in preventing criminal activities, highlighting the effectiveness of cooperation between security personnel and law enforcement agencies in combating crime within the community.
