A 21-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly fatally stabbing one man and seriously injuring another in an alleged l0ve triangle in Glendale, Mashonaland Central province.
Police say Radious Lefani attacked Denzel Chitago, 21, and Proud Muchadakuenda, 23, at a local bar on Sunday night during a Nyau dance show entertainment.
Lefani allegedly stabbed Chitago in the chest with an okapi knife, killing him instantly. When Muchadakuenda tried to ask why Lefani was being violent, he was also stabbed in the left side of the chest, and is now critically injured in hospital.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha confirmed the arrest and charges, urging people not to take the law into their own hands.
He warned against carrying offensive weapons like knives and knobkerries, saying people risk arrest under current prohibition orders issued by district police that ban such weapons.
