In a recent court hearing at the Harare civil court, an elderly man named Byron Chihohwa requested a protection order against his daughter, Chipo Musarurwa.
Chihohwa claimed that he had been informed by people in Musarurwa’s community that she was planning to falsely accuse him of rɑpǝ. He also mentioned that his daughter was fighting over the family’s estate.
As a result of these allegations, Chihohwa stated that he no longer wanted to have any contact with his daughter.
Musarurwa denied the accusations and accused her father of lying to the court. However, despite her denial, Chihohwa was granted the protection order by magistrate Sharon Mashavira.
