Two suspects have been arrested by the police for stealing a cow from a farm in Figtree and slaughtering it. The suspects have been identified as Thamsanqa Ncube (35) from Entumbane and Dumiso Dube (25) from Nkulumane.
According to Assistant Inspector Thandolwenkosi Moyo, the acting provincial police spokesperson for Matabeleland South, the police received a tip-off from the public that a Honda Fit vehicle was transporting the stolen meat. The suspects were caught and the carcass and the vehicle were recovered.
Moyo expressed his gratitude to the public for their assistance in fighting stock theft. He also urged farmers to closely monitor their animals to guard against theft and to alert the police immediately if they see any criminal activity.
